What size hanging basket should I buy?
Choose 25-30cm for a balcony or a small porch, 35cm for everyday use, and 40cm or more for a front door where you want real impact. Bigger baskets hold more compost and dry out more slowly, but a watered 40cm basket can pass 12kg – so check your bracket's rating before you go large.
Do your hanging baskets come with plants?
No. We sell the baskets, brackets, hooks, chains, liners and watering kit, plus artificial displays – never live plants. If you want colour with no planting and no watering, choose a ready-to-hang artificial display; if you would rather plant your own, our guides walk you through liners, compost and plant choice.
What bracket do I need for a hanging basket?
Match the bracket to the basket's watered weight, not its empty weight. A planted 35cm basket can top 10kg. Use a bracket rated above that, with an arm longer than the basket's radius so it hangs clear of the wall, fixed into sound brick with proper plugs.
When should I hang baskets outside in the UK?
Live summer displays go out after the last frost, usually mid to late May in most of the UK. Autumn displays come out from September and winter or festive ones from October and November. Artificial displays can hang in any month, which is why many customers leave theirs up all year.
How often do hanging baskets need watering?
A live basket in summer usually needs water once a day, and twice during a hot spell, because the small volume of compost dries fast. In spring and autumn every two or three days is enough. Artificial displays need none, just an occasional rinse.
